GOT QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What Organizations Ask Before They Book

Does group size matter?

No. The session format is designed to work regardless of how many young men are in the room. Participants naturally share in smaller conversations — and that’s where the real impact happens. Whether you have 8 or 40, we make it work.

Can you work with mixed-gender groups?

Yes. While Young Kings Rising is primarily designed for and focused on young men, we can accommodate mixed-gender settings. The content, language, and framework are built around the male experience — so organizations with primarily male populations will get the most out of it.

What if some participants have trauma histories?

That’s not a barrier — it’s actually the population we’re most equipped to serve. The curriculum is built around identity, accountability, and direction in a way that doesn’t require participants to disclose or process trauma. The environment is safe, the tone is respectful, and the facilitator is trained to meet young men where they are.

What AV or room setup do you need?

A microphone is helpful, especially for larger groups. Beyond that, we need a projector or screen for the session slideshow, chairs arranged so participants can see each other (circle or rows both work), and a quiet room without heavy foot traffic during the session. That’s it.

How often do sessions run?

The standard cadence is bi-weekly — every two weeks. This gives young men enough time to work on the challenge from the previous session, while keeping the momentum going. We can adjust frequency based on your facility’s schedule.

What does “complimentary pilot sessions” mean exactly?

The first 3 sessions for your organization are at no cost — no paperwork, no contract, no commitment. We want to earn your trust first. If it works for your young men, we’ll talk about what an ongoing partnership looks like. If it doesn’t, we part ways with no hard feelings. Hosting organizations are responsible for printed handout costs and mileage reimbursement beyond 15 miles.

"He exceeded our expectations. His message was engaging, authentic, and relatable to our youth. Our students were attentive throughout the presentation, and many continued discussing the topics he shared after the event concluded. We would confidently recommend him to detention facilities, group homes, schools, and youth organizations seeking a speaker who can effectively connect with young people."

Complimentary Pilot Sessions — Now Booking

The first 3 sessions for your organization are complimentary — no paperwork, no commitment.

We want to earn your trust before anything else. After your pilot sessions, we'll discuss a partnership investment that fits your organization's budget and mission.

We ask for two things in return for the complimentary sessions: a written testimonial and permission to photograph the session.

Note: Hosting organizations are responsible for covering the cost of printed handouts and participant materials. Mileage reimbursement applies for travel exceeding 15 miles.
